"The Amiga world has waited too long, 'he said succinctly Bill McEwen, president of Amiga Inc., during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). And so, surprisingly, during the CES 2008 Amiga Inc. has shown the world AmigaAnywhere 2, the new version of the technology developed by the company and that is to bring Amiga also on machines with Windows operating systems, Win CE, CE.NET, PocketPC, Windows Mobile etc.

Register Hardware team has, however said he had spoken personally with McEwen and discovered that in fact it is Amiga OS 5.0 , "we had to call it that because the agreement, with Microsoft ( which had distributed "Amiga Anywhere Entertainment Pack # 1", a set of four games based on AmigaDE, now called just AmigaAnywhere), has whispered in your ear to the leaders of the portal, showing a version of Invasion that ran on Windows Mobile 6 complete with a logo when the game starts.
What would
AmigaAnywhere? According to official information that would be a "Virtual Environment that allows and facilitates access to the same applications across a wide variety of devices." In keeping with the usual characteristics that made him famous as the Amiga computer, the platform allows you to create programs from high-impact audio-video, with a wide portability and interactivity never seen before.

AmigaAnywhere 2 currently works under Windows, Windows Mobile, Linux and PC Linux for embedded systems. Moreover, we made a version compatible with Mac OS X. The technology will probably reach on mobile, media players, navigation systems and many other gadgets.

All beautiful, too bad reactions from the community are not the best Amiga: Amiga Inc. has now released a lot of promises never (or only partially) maintained and I doubt that the open letter written to the community by McEwen (which i would like to see more fall out of chair) can to change their minds to the supporters of this platform. In addition, the new product, but based on Amiga OS 5, is certainly not a new development of the Amiga platform. Perhaps the future of the historic machine will be in mobile phones with Windows Mobile ... We'll see.
